Teachers' Day & Mid-Autumn Festival...~!! =)

~Teachers' Day~
On 29 August (Friday), the Nanyang Family of schools will be having a joint Teachers’ Day Celebrations at 12.30 pm. Pupils will be dismissed from school at 11.30 am. Please note that the school will be closed from 12.30 pm.

Huang Laoshi says.. " we teachers n staff wil leave for the lunch at abt 11.45am. so if u wanna come visit, do come way before that time ya!" =)

~Celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival~
This year, we will celebrate the joyous Mid-Autumn Festival on 10 September (Wednesday) from 6.30 pm to 9.00 pm so as to imbue the importance of a harmonious family as well as appreciation of the Chinese culture and customs. Some of the programmes lined up include concert, lantern-making competition using recycled materials, lantern parade, family games, tea appreciation exhibit and many more. To add to the festivities and authenticity of the occasion, we welcome contributions of mooncakes and pomeloes as well as lanterns for the hall décor.
Please take note that for safety reasons, only battery-operated lanterns can be brought into the school premises.

The 29th Olympics, 2008~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its the Games again!! yupee!! =) m really excited this time
round, coz it's the first time it's held in a Chinese country!
China n many Chinese ard the world have waited 100 years
for this moment!

China first took part in the Games with 1 sportsman in the
1930's in LA. now, after 70+ years, she has progressed to
a country able to host the Games and m so proud of her!
the whole nation has prepared for 7years, putting all her
worth into the 16 days of events.

was away for a camp on 8th Aug, so didn't catch the Opening.
last night, finally got a chance to view it for myself!! have read
so much abt it on the papers, heard so much abt it fr others..
but its stil different to see it for myself!!

was first "crazy" abt the Games in 1988, when Xiong Ni clinched
the diving medals one after another for China. he was the guy
right in front, holding the Olympics flag marching into the Bird
Nest. =)

Gym is another sports i love to watch too! n the last sportsman
who lit up the Torch was Li Ning, China's gym champion in the
1980's. he is now a v.successful biz man in sportswear, almost
all the Chinese sportsmen n women wear his products!! its
noted with a "L" as its logo. =)

no matter what ple say, no matter how China may stil have rm
for improvement, i m so glad to see China taking such a bold n
big step forwards! 中国加油！奥运加油！cheerios!! =)

Hols Class Gathering?! =)

hi hi ple, hols have finally begun!! =)

this is the first day of hols, though we trs r stil back in sch for meeting n workshops n such..

well well, some ple said wanna have HCG? sure, jus post your preferrences onto this
blog, n lets see what comes out of them. ;p

this jun i wil b going to China fr 4th to 11th, its a sch trip to Nanjing. and 1st week n last week of hols i need to attend to sch things. left the in between timings, i shld b fine. =)
